Cavs fall apart in second half against Pacers after 22-point lead; three takeaways

2. From 100 to 0

For as much speed and rhythm as the Cavs had in the first half, they seemed to lose nearly all of it in the second.

Coming out of the locker room, Indiana went on an 11-0 run to cut Cleveland’s lead to just three points. All at once, the Cavs seemed to stop attacking both the paint and the Pacers in transition to aid Indiana in their comeback.

Indiana went 5-for-7 from deep in the quarter, while the Cavs meanwhile went just 6-of-21 (28.6 percent) from the field in the third after shooting 50 percent from the field in the first half.

When the third quarter was all said and done, the Pacers outscored the Cavs 32-16 and went into the final frame with a 76-74 lead.
