Cavaliers Set to Ink Chris ‘Birdman’ Andersen to 1-Year Deal

The Cavs deal with the 76’ers on Friday to trade Sasha Kaun has cleared up a roster spot, and that spot will be taken by Chris ‘Birdman’ Andersen, who made a deal with the Cavs last week.

The deal with the 76’ers got them the rights to Chukwudiebere Maduabum, as they dealt Kaun as well as cash considerations. The 38-year-old Andersen has played with eight different teams. He played in 20 games for the Grizzlies last season and averaged 4.6 points and 4.5 rebounds in 18.3 minutes per contest.

His connection with the Cavs has to do with LeBron James, who he played with in Miami, and even won a title with in 2013.
