Browns WR Kenny Britt ‘On Thin Ice’ After Missing Curfew, WR Coleman Also Sent Home

Mike Garafolo of NFL.com has reported that offseason acquisition wide receiver Kenny Britt has been sent home along second year wide receiver Corey Coleman by the Cleveland Browns for missing curfew. Both wide receivers were sent home prior to last Sunday’s game verse the Houston Texans.

Britt signed a 4-year deal worth $32.5 million, including $17 million guaranteed in the offseason with the Browns. A former St. Louis/Los Angeles Ram, he came over to the Browns as a replacement of Terrelle Pryor, and was touted as his replacement as he had similar numbers last season but Britt overall had more experience.

The veteran wide out could be let go by the Browns if he continues to make mistake after mistake. Britt has had a rather disappointing start to his Browns career, with just 8 catches for 121 yards and a touchdown this season.

Coleman is currently on the Injured Reserve list for the Browns, this after breaking the same hand against the Baltimore Ravens in week two.

The second-year wide out was showing signs of life this offseason and the beginning of the regular season.

There have been no indications that Coleman is subject to being cut like Britt has been rumored to being. In fact, last year’s first round does not seem to be in any danger at all. If anything, any punishment for Coleman may be kept in house.
