Browns select Oklahoma State Defensive End Emmanuel Ogbah at No. 32

The Cleveland Browns opted to keep their top second-round draft pick rather than trade down, as some rumors indicated, and with the No. 32 pick in the draft, Cleveland chose DE Emmanuel Ogbah out of Oklahoma State.

The defensive end is 6’4″, 273 pounds and was born in Lagos, Nigeria.

Ogbah started all three years at Oklahoma State, collecting 133 tackles, 35.5 tackles for loss and 26.5 sacks.

In 2015, his junior season, Ogbah notched career-highs of 17.5 tackles for loss and 12.5 sacks.

Ogbah was an All-Big 12 selection in 2014.

It’s no secret the Browns have had trouble stopping the run and setting the edge. Perhaps Ogbah can be part of a young nucleus on the defensive line, alongside Danny Shelton, to change things around going forward.

Ogbah could also be a candidate to watch for at the linebacker position as his speed and size make him versatile enough to fill multiple positions on the front seven.
