Browns Finalize Deal with Horton as DC; Add Hamilton and Wilson to Offensive Staff

The Browns are quickly getting their coaching staff in place, as Albert Breer of NFL Network is reporting that Ray Horton is aboard officially as the defensive coordinator and the team has added Pep Hamilton and Kirby Wilson to the offensive staff.

Hamilton was with the Colts as their offensive coordinator, but was fired by the team on November 3rd of last year with the team struggling.

Wilson comes to the team from Minnesota, where he was the club’s running back coach.

As for Horton, the hiring ends a few days of back and forth as to if he was even available or not to be hired. It was reported Sunday he was ‘disrespected’ by the Titans when he talked with them about the head coaching job, but then later on he came out and disputed the report.
