Overall it seemed like a very average draft to me. I thought they reached a little at the top of the draft and didn’t get the best available talent for the rarity of picking where they were for franchise builders. The second round picks while being talented are going to positions where there is already decent talent and may struggle to see the field consistently. Day three had several players that may not see the field with off the field concerns that is probably not the best for a young locker room not used to winning with Avery being the only player drafted where he probably should have gone. I just don’t see the Browns coming out of this draft with superstars turning the franchise around. Like free agency they may walk out with good players that will help them compete but I don’t think they got the extra talent that will make them great. Overall I was just a little underwhelmed. I don’t think they butchered it but they definitely didn’t ace it. Honestly, I would look at last year’s draft class to make the leap instead. Myles Garrett should be healthy and show off. David Njoku now has a consistent QB. Jabrill Peppers is going to a better position where he is more comfortable at and Ogunjobi and Brantley will have a bigger role with Shelton gone. Hopefully, the combination of these two drafts will be the foundation this organization and the fans need.
