Brooklyn Hockey Takes Home Title!

With many fans focusing on the triple header the NBA put on yesterday , it would have been easy for people to forget about the MLK tournament taking place on the ice in Parma.

One man who didn’t forget, and led the Brooklyn Hurricanes to championship gold was Head Coach Ryan Kelber.  The Kelber led Hurricanes knocked off the hosting Parma Redman 3-2 in Double Overtime to win the championship after a day long, hard fought tournament!

A. Supek scored the winning goal in double overtime to preserve the championship!

Other goals were scored by Schnear and Nieves.  Not to be overlooked was the 43 saves by Reinhart.

Earlier in the day they knocked off North Canton Hoover, also by a score of 3-2.  That game came with eggs and bacon as it started at 9am.

This was all part of a weekend long tournament that saw them knock off Nordonia 5-0 on Sunday.

It was an impressive tournament for Brooklyn as they continue to get off to a great start this season!

Congrats to the Hurricanes!
