Bee’s Route Elyria 8-1 in Sweep

ELYRIA, Ohio – It was Chris Fryer’s (JR) turn tonight to toss a gem for the Medina Bee’s. Fryer kept Elyria hitters at bay all night in an 8 – 1 victory. The win completed a dominant two night, two game sweep of Elyria and improved the Bee’s overall record to 10 – 5 as they head into a crucial rematch at home against the Strongsville Mustangs tomorrow night.

The Bee’s overcame a 1-0 deficit in the first inning and never looked back from there. They scored 1 to tie it in the second, followed by a four run explosion in the third inning that put the game away as it gave them a 5 – 1 lead they would not relent.

Right Fielder Austin Provost had the game of his life, with several big hits along the way that kept the Bee’s scoring and in command. Provost had a single in the first and then another single in the third inning that crashed against the fence or it will still be rolling. He remained the impossible out when he gathered another single in the fourth inning. He was robbed of a hit in the fifth inning or else it would have been a four hit performance.

The Final Box score is brought to you by “Aimes & Hills”, hey, they could still make a comeback right?
