Bee’s lose pitching duel 1-0 to Mustangs on costly error

STRONGSVILLE, Ohio – A night after scoring 10 runs against Euclid, the sometimes streaky bats of the Bee’s cooled off once again as they were nearly no hit by Ian Hennessey and the Strongsville Mustangs in a 1-0 loss.

Bee’s pitcher John Curtis did a great job to hold up his end of the pitcher’s duel only giving up one run. The one run was un earned on a very costly error in the 4th inning following a double. Curtis pitched a great game but that error may just be keeping him and the Bee’s faithful awake for awhile.

Medina will have to shake this one off quickly however as they have two games scheduled at home tomorrow in a traditional double header.

The 7-4 (3-1) Bee’s will host Willoughby South at 11am and then break for pizza before a two o’clock matchup as the Eagles of St. Edwards will be flying in from Lakewood.

Tonight’s starting lineup
P- Curtis
C – Smith
DH – Petersen
1B – Spencer Ackerman
2B – Winters
SS – Pipoly
3B – Fink
LF – Masek
CF – Fultz
RF – Hansen

Coverage for tomorrow’s double header is currently up in the air, but we working hard to have a reporter on the ground for tomorrows contests. It is currently in the hands of Thomas the Train and the Bean.
