Avon Lake Continues To Roll On The Lanes

Avon Lake Boys Varsity earned a huge win today against Elyria High School 2386 – 2333. Brock Meyers rolled an impressive 459 series, his highest this season.

James Bair had a great series at 426 followed by Connor Gallagher with a 425. Owen Forrey contributed with a 392.

The Avon Lake Boys Varsity team is on a great winning streak. Only 5 matches remain in the regular season and then on to sectionals.

The boys JV won tonight with only one loss this season. Avon Lake Boys Bowling has plenty of depth as demonstrated by JV player Andrew Neding’s impressive 367 Series today.

This is one night following Avon Lake traveling to Grafton Lanes and toppling Firelands. Senior and Co-Capitan James Bair lead the team with a 371 Series, Junior Brock Meyers rolled a 349 series followed up by Sophomore and team Co-capitan Connor Gallagher with a 340 series.

Every bowling center has a different oil pattern (playing field) and that’s what makes this sport so challenging. The boys were able to adjust to the conditions and managed to prevail.

Both the Varsity and Junior Varsity team continue on their week winning streaks. Brandon Holton of the JV team rolled an impressive 398 yesterday to lead the JV team to another victory.

The Shoregals were also victorious over Firelands on Wednesday afternoon at Grafton Lanes 1479-1470. Leading the way for the Shoregals was Rayana Meyers who bowled a two-game series of 290 (including a game of 171). Lexi Cline also bowled an individual game of 160.

Rayana Meyers clinched the victory for the Shoregals in dramatic fashion. Down nine pins in the match’s final frame, Rayana converted on a four-pin spare to secure the win for the Shoregals.
