AFC Cleveland Royals Defend the Land With A Thrilling 1-0 Victory Over The Fort Pitt Regiment

Tonight’s recap is brought to you by our sponsors at http://www.sweetiescandy.com/ & http://www.frontlinesoccer.com/

The lone goal of the game came in the 93rd minute from Mikey Derezic, and it was surely enough to help The AFC Cleveland Royals capture a pivotal 1-0 victory.  It was a tight one all night long that saw the action back and forth constantly with neither team establishing any dominance.

The Royals had numerous chances late however, with several corner kick chances, only for them to fall short, left, right and nothing of the goal.  It just seemed time and time again, that near misses would cause the game to finish at a draw.

Mikey Derezic would derail those plans however as he connected off of a beautiful set up from speed demon Lolo Karpeh to place it past the diving Fort Pitt Regiment goalie Brenden Alery to send everyone home happy!

It was a cleanly contested game with very little fouls to speak of, the lone yellow card was handed out to Jesse Scheirer of Fort Pitt.  It was a big win for the Royals as it improved their regular season record to 3-3-1, and their overall record to 6-5-1.

It was a big win also for the Royals as they were without their captain, Admir Suljevic who was missing due to a sore back.  Suljevic first started having back issues two weeks ago against the FC Buffalo squad.

The AFC Cleveland Royals will look to stay hot as they travel to Fort Pitt this Sunday for the rematch.
