5 Takeaways from the Browns 20-10 preseason win over the Giants

2) Perfection

As impressive as Mayfield looked, he couldn’t top a perfect performance. That’s what the Browns got from Taylor on the two drives he commanded. Taylor was a perfect five-for-five, for 99 yards and a touchdown for the game. His night was over after just two possessions. Honestly, his first pass of the contest was probably the highlight of them all as he fired a nicely placed back-shoulder throw to Jarvis Landry down the left sideline for 39-yard pickup…

There was no defense for that pass. Get used to the Taylor-to-Landry connection too cause they hooked up a few plays later as well. It’s obvious the chemistry is there between those two already. Ultimately, everyone is going to talk about Mayfield’s night, but what Taylor did can’t be ignored.
