2018 NFL Draft Team Grades

Arizona Cardinals
Grade: B

Arizona did a great job in not giving up too much but going ahead and getting their franchise QB in Josh Rosen. You bet he is playing with a chip on his shoulder after his comments. I really liked Christian Kirk as a strong physical WR. A third round pick on Mason Cole was a little high and neglecting the secondary until late in the draft hurt them though.

Atlanta Falcons
Grade: B

Atlanta was smart in taking what fell to them the first two rounds with Calvin Ridley and Isaiah Oliver. When they went defense late they found Dan Quinn type players that fit the scheme. I just wish they added another pass rusher somewhere in their draft.

Baltimore Ravens
Grade: B-

The Ravens draft will come down to the future of Lamar Jackson. He is different from the style of Joe Flacco but fits perfectly with backup RGIII. The rest of the draft was doubling down on offense. They took Hurst an older but safe TE and Andrews as more of a pass catcher. Orlando Brown can be a steal if he gets motivated in Baltimore and some late round lineman have potential. The WRs they took I don’t see having much impact in the NFL but the secondary guys have some potential. I don’t think there are a lot of home run picks here but it all comes down to Jackson.

Buffalo Bills
Grade: B-

While Buffalo knew they weren’t getting their choice of top two QBs, they did good holding value and not surrendering a ton for the third choice. Allen seems like a better fit in Buffalo than other places but two seconds and Cordy Glenn was not cheap. I loved moving up for Tremaine Edmunds and getting Harrison Philips to replace Kyle Williams eventually. The rest of the draft was pretty unremarkable.

Carolina Panthers
Grade: B-

I liked the first three rounds for Carolina. They got their choice of WR without moving, added a couple of defensive backs, and found a TE to replace Olson. Where they lost me was going three straight LBs after that and ignoring the offensive line and not finding a compliment for McCaffrey.
